The Halite Snow and Ice Melt is a great all-around product for melting snow and ice from pavement surfaces such as side walks, parking lots and roads.
Also known as "Rock Salt", Halite is a crystallized form of Sodium Chloride that does a great job melting snow and ice and also acting as a pre-treatment spread to keep ice from forming when it does finally hit.
The Hallet Snow and Ice Melt is good down to 29º F which is perfect for the middle sections of the US that see snow and ice, but don't have crazy low temperatures where they need the more expensive Premium Ice and Snow melt products.
With freight Included in the price, this product is shipped as a pallet of 49 bags, each weighing 50 lbs which makes it a great purchase if you're looking for large quantities at a discount price.
Our Halite Snow and Ice Melt should be applied right before, or when the precipitation begins because this product will help to prevent the ice and snow from bonding to the pavement, driveways, steps and walkway surfaces.
For best results, periodically remove loose ice, snow and slush and reapply ice and snow melt.
The Halite Snow and Ice Melt can be applied liberally at a rate of 8 oz or 1 cup evenly per square yard. The amount will vary depending on conditions and depth of ice and snow. The more ice and snow the more ice and snow melt required.
The Halite Snow and Ice Melt should be stored in a dry area. The bag should be tightly sealed after each use and the bag should be properly disposed of once the product has been exhausted.
