Need a great DIY air-powered sealcoat pump? If you're a one-man sprayer in the market for a great contractor air-powered diaphragm pump that can be used all day, this Iwaki Air pump is a great place to start. 

This 1-1/2" air-operated dual diaphragm (AODD) pump is great for medium to large sealcoating setups where a 300+ gallon tank is used for all-day use.  We offer the Iwaki Air pumps as an alternative to the comparable Yamada pumps that come standard on our sealcoating spray systems.

Designed and made in Japan for over 50 years by the well-known YTS Pumps, Iwaki Air is the brand of YTS Pumps used to identify their air-operated pumps.

With the part number: TC-X401AN-NPT, you get a 1.5" aluminum body (NPTF), aluminum manifold, and aluminum seat material with the Buna-N ball and diaphragm material.

1.5" air-powered sealcoating pumps are the industry standard for all-day-use, single operation sealcoaters who need a good flow and strong pump that will handle medium to large jobs with no problem.  These pumps are perfect for medium and large asphalt lots, provided you have an adequate air-compressor supply.  We typically recommend a minimum of a 10-gallon compressor that can average around 16 - 22 CFM.

The two biggest differences between the 1.5" and 2" pump, is the number of times the pump has to cycle to output the same amount of material.  Also, while the 1.5" is almost enough to run two spray wands, we don't recommend it.  If you need two guys spraying at the same time, we highly recommend stepping up to the 2" pump and a 30-gallon or larger compressor.
