This Asphalt Crack Melter is a "Melting Kettle On Wheels".
This crack melter kettle design was first introduced more than twenty years ago and was used as a smaller capacity portable asphalt crack melter. Over time several additions have been added to the design to create what is today the most efficient way to fill cracks in asphalt using hot pour rubberized crackfill.
This is because this asphalt crack melter kettle design uses a tubular valve assembly that is attached to a spring loaded handle allowing the operator full control of the valve.
This system offers the latest valve assembly which allows the operator to completely stop the flow of melted asphalt crack fill material and eliminating puddles of melted material. Raising the screed completely closes the valve tube.
1/8" thick rear steel wheels are used instead of rubber wheels to allow for easy rolling and won't pick-up hot tar like a rubber wheel would, and when the wheels get crackfiller on them, simply melt it off using the torch burner which is included with the crack melter applicator.
Agitation of the hot rubberized rubber is very important because the plastic wrapper on the rubber blocks can plug the valve if not completely dissolved. Manual Agitation is standard equipment with this Asphalt Crack Melter.
This asphalt crack melter applicator will save you time by applying Hot Rubberized Melted Crack Sealer directly into the asphalt crack. All you need to do is keep it full of direct fire sealer and push it!
