Description
PreMark® Preformed Thermoplastic products made by Ennis-Flint are top pick products within the thermomarking industry and do NOT require any pre-heating prior to installation. Simply place, heat and go.
PreMark is a heavy-duty preformed thermoplastic that is a very durable "intersection grade" pavement marking material. There are no minimum requirements on the ambient or road temperature requirements which allows pavement marking season to extend into the colder months.
The top surface of the material has regularly spaced heating indicators which provide a visual cue during application that the material has reached a molten state. This tells you when proper adhesion and bead embedment has been achieved. The heating indicators also provide a post-application visual cue that you installed it correctly and ready to move on.

Shipped as precut, ready-to-use package of various quantities that are 90 mils thickness per template.
The bike lane markings ship from the factory with the Ennis-Flint ViziGrip which is an additional traction additive for better anti-skid properties.
*Concrete requires pre-sealer before applying thermoplastic.
Do You Need Sealer?
Preformed Thermoplastic, while a great product, is still susceptible to contaminants and moisture that can prevent the preformed marking from sticking properly to the pavement. There are times when a sealer is required and times when sealer is recommended. Let's cover the different scenarios so you can be confident in whether you need a sealer for your next project.
Pavement Type
Concrete: If you're applying a preformed marking to concrete, you must use sealer no matter what kind of marking you are using. Concrete traps moisture and contaminants like salt, that will seep to the surface and could eventually cause the marking to pop loose. If you're applying a preformed marking to concrete, always use a sealer.
Asphalt: Asphalt can go either way. If the asphalt is new and the top layer still contains the asphalt oils, then you don't need a sealer but if you want to throw caution to the wind, it won't hurt anything if you do. However, if the asphalt is old and oxidized, then you do need a sealer. If you're installing a multi-color marking on asphalt, it is highly recommended that you use a sealer, regardless of the asphalt age.

Do You Need ViziGrip?
Unless otherwise noted, all PreMark thermoplastic markings come standard with glass beads embeded in the preformed template. If you need an anti-skid marking in addition to glass beads, you can choose to purchase the ViziGrip version.
ViziGrip® stands for "Visibility with Grip" and is a ready-made product from the factory that has glass beads along with a traction anti-skid aggregate.
ViziGrip is ideal for crosswalks where foot traffic is present, bike lanes where folks are riding over bike markings or for general markings where skidding might present a liability or be less than ideal and the best part, you can order it at no additional cost!
If you want a marking with only the the anti-skid aggregate and no glass beads, choose the "anti-skid" option when purchasing instead. This product variant does not include glass beads and has excellent traction properties.
