Our 275 gallon IBC tote of Big A Liquid Ice Melt is perfect for contractors or businesses looking for a pre-treatment solution to keep pavement and sidewalks from icing down to -30º F. This product ships with 135 gallons of concentrated ice melt as a 60% solution of calcium chloride. Once you receive the item, simply add additional water and fill up to 270 gallons for the recommended 30% solution.

Note: We recommend that you add the water immediately after receiving the product to ensure the proper ratio is achieved and no settling occurs. Failure to add the water to create the proper suspension ratios could result in the product settling and losing its full potential.

Things To Consider

Metal

Calcium Chloride is an oxidizer which means it can cause metal parts to oxidize much faster than normal. For this reason, we recommend using only plastic containers for storing and applying the BIG A Liquid Ice Melt. If the solution comes in contact with any metal parts, rinse with water and wipe off any residue with a wet rag.
